Hi! Welcome to the Library Haul!

I’m glad you’re here! My name is Cedar and I created Library Haul as a way to share my love of books with you.

My love of books and libraries started back when I was a little kid growing up on a sheep farm in Oregon. When I wasn’t outside with the animals or helping my grandparents with daily chores and the garden, I found solace in the pages of a book. I was very lucky to grow up with parents and grandparents who loved to read and read to me.

Living far from town, we were fortunate to have a bookmobile visit our local elementary school. I loved Bookmobile day! I also spent time in the town library and especially as I got older, the library was my source for any and all information. The library was a haven and a place of discovery.

My love of reading continued into adulthood. Books have taught me, soothed me, saved me, and entertained me. It is such a good feeling to find a book that captures my imagination and makes it impossible to put down. Has a book ever made its way to you right when you needed to read exactly what the author wrote? Books are part of the beautiful mystery of life!

There are so many books waiting to be discovered, join me as we discover new favorites!

What is Library Haul?

Library Haul is a show that celebrates books!

During Covid, my local library came to the rescue by delivering books straight to our doorstep. Isn’t that amazing?! I felt like a kid on Christmas morning.

I started referring to these deliveries as my Library Hauls (a nod to the Youtubers doing clothing hauls).

I have always loved exploring a diverse range of book genres and topics. My library queue is long! So my Hauls are always varied.

The idea came to me to share this process and my love for books with YOU!  Watch Episode 1 below to hear me talk about this.

And that is how The Library Haul came into existence.
